Mastering the CDS Syllabus 2027

To crack CDS 2027, a candidate must go beyond rote learning. The UPSC expects a deep understanding of concepts, especially in General Knowledge and English.

English Preparation

Focus on the usage of words. UPSC has recently increased the difficulty of 'Parts of Speech' and 'Usage of Pair of Words'. Practice cloze tests daily.

General Knowledge Strategy

Do not try to memorize everything. Focus on Current Affairs from the last 6-8 months. For Science, NCERT books from Class 6 to 10 are sufficient.

Mathematics (Non-OTA only)

Algebra and Trigonometry are the scoring sections. Ensure you know formulas for areas of triangles and circles like $Area = \pi r^2$ and the Pythagorean theorem $a^2 + b^2 = c^2$.
