From Aspirant to Officer: CDS 2027 Selection Process

The path to becoming a Commissioned Officer through CDS 2027 is rigorous.

The Written Hurdle

You must score above the qualifying marks in each paper (usually 20%) and clear the overall cutoff for your preferred academy.

The 5-Day SSB Challenge

The SSB is not just an interview; it is a personality assessment. They look for 15 Officer Like Qualities (OLQs).

• Stage 1: Screening. If you fail this, you return on Day 1.
• Stage 2: Psychological and GTO tasks. This determines your suitability for the armed forces.

Final recommendation is followed by a week-long medical examination.
